how to feel alive
When do you feel most alive?
For me, feeling alive is what anchors me in the present. And being present is what makes me feel truly alive.
In a world where we're constantly on our screens, it’s easy to be somewhere else — our minds scattered across timelines and to-do lists. Being here, in the physical realm, takes intention.
For a long time, I chased happiness, believing it was the ultimate goal. But what I found was something even more valuable: the pursuit of feeling alive. Letting go of the pressure to be constantly happy has allowed me to embrace the full spectrum of human emotion — the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
Personally, I feel most alive when I’m:
Immersed in nature
Moving my body
Sharing time with the people I love
I realised this after my last snowboarding trip, reflecting on why this vacation felt so peaceful and grounding. Since then, I’ve committed to weaving more of these moments into my everyday life.
I don’t want to leave this world feeling like I merely existed. I want to look back and know I truly lived. And the best way to do that? Making a conscious effort to seek out what sparks life within me.
Side Quest of the Week
Reflect on the following journal prompts:
When do I feel most alive?
When am I truly present?
How can I bring more of those moments into my daily life?
